About Mechanical Life…

Machines are a realization of human vision and imagination. They are forms of communication, works of art, markers on the timeline of human development. They show our history, our dreams, our daily lives. They define our place in the universe. If you want to know a person, look at the machines they use; or even better, the machines they design. At Mechanical Life, we love them all. From something as simple as a wrench to as complex as an automobile, they have all been designed by one person to be used by another. Machine design is the study of life. How to improve it, make it more efficient, more fun. Designers and engineers have to become the end user; feel what they feel, see what they see. Without the user, a machine is nothing. It doesn’t matter what you are doing; keeping time, traveling under stored power or your own, even just opening your favorite beverage, it’s hard to do it without a machine. Through product reviews, instructional videos and testing we will bring our viewers the sights, sounds and experiences of the mechanical world. A machine is anything as simple as a lever to something as complex as a Formula 1 car. We love both and everything in between. While a large part of what you see on Mechanical Life is focused on automobiles, we won’t loose sight of all the other incredible machines that surround us in daily life.
