Let There Be Tiny Light – 12V Spotlight

253 320x240 12v spotlight side Let There Be Tiny Light 12V Spotlight If there is one thing the cub scouts taught me, it’s always be prepared. A close second; neckwear sucks. I didn’t like the bandana thing then, and I can’t stand wearing ties now. Clothing aside, one of the best ways to prepare for anything is always make sure you can see. A good flashlight is invaluable in any situation after sundown and even in daylight when you are trying to find the nut you dropped down into the engine compartment while on the side of the road changing a blown coil.

I have carried a Maglite flashlight in all my cars since I started driving. Some cars, like my 911, have an ideal location for storing one. Most cars however do not and you end up with the thing rolling around, thunking back and forth battering your trunk liner in turns. You can either bolt down your maglight, or find an alternative. We found these small LED rechargeable flashlights from 12V Spotlight and haven’t been in the dark since.

Picture This- Microsoft Photo Synth

219 320x240 fnp photosynth1 Picture This Microsoft Photo Synth Picture this, your at a rave , or a concert or in Italy for instance, your taking all these photos of buildings ,the lively environment , your friends , but when you get home and look at the photos you wished you could’ve gotten perhaps a different angle maybe a different perspective on the location you were just at .

Well Microsoft live labs has conjured up another one of Bill Gates ideas and created The Photo Synth. It really is a break thru in to what a photo community should be like. Putting you right there in the mix. Its a free online beta photo sharing community, (yes but it’s not that simple) . The program is kind of like Photobucket or Flickr; where it gathers up large collections of photos from its members of a particular place you have visited, finds the minuet similarities and builds it up like a 3-D jigsaw puzzle. Imagine strolling the halls of the Sistine Chapel , or seeing the Great Pyramids of Giza while having lunch in Los Angeles. Talk about frequent flier miles.

E3 2009 – Driving Full Throttle Into The Nerdery

Posted by MFebbo · 3 Comments

154 320x240 e3 09 blur 2 E3 2009 Driving Full Throttle Into The Nerdery What’s nerdier than a Star Trek convention and more corporate than a Jonas Brother’s Concert? E3 of coarse. The annual video game trade show held at the LA Convention Center. Actually the official name is the Electronic Entertainment Expo, hence E3. We mock this place not only for its halls packed with twenty-something men who have more interest in blowing up pixilated zombies than they do in dating, but also as a misguided sign of affection. Similar to what happens when one of the aforementioned twenty-somethings tries to talk to a woman that doesn’t exist only on a Blu-Ray.
